Conference: 'Care for and social well-being of older migrants'
On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at the Leyden Academy on Vitality and Aging in Leiden, the conference 'Care for and social well-being of older migrants' takes place. This is an initiative of the IMISCOE Standing Committee Ageing Migrants (click here for more information).
The conference aims to bridge state-of-the-art research and practice on the care for and social well-being of older migrants and is dedicated to knowledge exchange between researchers, professionals and policy makers in the field of care and welfare. Researchers will discuss practical applications of recent research into local aspects of care for older migrants (morning), including working in a neighborhood-oriented way and informal care, as well as aspects of social well-being (noon), including loneliness, social participation and transnational relationships. There will be plenty of room for submitting suggestions for follow-up research and for further strengthening the connection between research and practice.
Participation is free, the official language is English. The flyer contains the full program and details about the location and registration. Please feel free to further distribute the flyer within your network.
As the number of places is limited quick registration is advised.
